Why Mia Farrow’s Friends Think Woody Allen Declared His Love For Her Daughter Soon-Yi Previn
In the third part of HBO’s ‘Allen v. Farrow,’ Mia’s friends allege Woody’s declaration of love for Soon-Yi may not have been all that it seemed. When Woody Allen took to the podium during an Aug. 18, 1992 press conference at the Plaza Hotel in New York City, he was there to deny allegations that he’d molested his 7-year-old little girl Dylan Farrow. But he also took the opportunity to publicly profess his love for Soon-Yi Previn – his ex-girlfriend’s 21-year-old daughter, the child’s sister.

Fact check: Claim comparing cost of border wall to HealthCare.gov misattributed to actor Tim Allen
The claim: Actor Tim Allen said the Obamacare website cost more than the border wall Actor Tim Allen is once again the subject of a misattributed quote that makes a false comparison between the cost of the Affordable Care Act website and the cost of former President Donald Trump's border wall. A meme that contains the misattributed quote and an image of Allen stems from another false post that USA TODAY debunked in May. “President Trump’s Wall Costs Less Than The Obamacare Website. Let that sink in, America,” reads the meme, which a Trump fan page posted to Facebook on March 20. Eric Trump, the former president's son, also shared the meme , which has circulated on social media for several years, to Instagram in September 2019. Neither the attribution nor the claim is true. Fact check: Texas' 'Operation Lone Star' isn't finishing border wall construction The Facebook page that posted the meme did not respond to USA TODAY’s request for comment. A partial quote from another false claim In May 2020, USA TODAY debunked a similar claim that criticized Democrats and was falsely attributed to Allen. The recently shared meme features a partial quote from that longer false claim. USA TODAY found that the post was authored by another man named Tim Allen in August 2019. Social media users confused the author, who has the same name as the actor, with Tim Allen from “Last Man Standing” and “Home Improvement.” "This statement was not written by my client, the actor Tim Allen," Allen’s publicist, Marleah Leslie, told USA TODAY. Leslie confirmed in an email to USA TODAY that the actor did not author the shorter quote either. Fact check: ICE officials say Operation Talon cancelation wasn't Biden's decision Estimates put the cost of the Obamacare website lower than the border wall cost Aside from the misattribution, the claim itself is false. While exact costs for Healthcare.gov, the Obamacare website, and Trump’s border wall are unknown, estimates put the cost of the wall much higher than the Obamacare website. An August 2014 report by the HHS Office of Inspector General estimated contracts for HealthCare.gov totaled $1.7 billion. Bloomberg put the cost slightly higher at $2.1 billion in a September 2014 article. The HealthCare.gov website Alex Brandon/AP These estimates are dwarfed in comparison to those for the border wall. According to a Department of Homeland Security report obtained by Reuters in February 2017, the border wall could cost up to $21.6 billion if completed. This number is much higher than the $12 billion dollar estimate Trump pushed on the campaign trail. In January 2020, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported the “border wall system” had cost $11 billion so far, according to NPR. By the end of 2020, the Trump administration had spent an estimated $16 billion on the wall, none of it paid for by Mexico as Trump promised, according to The Arizona Republic . In this Jan. 12, 2021, file photo, President Donald Trump tours a section of the U.S.-Mexico border wall in Alamo, Texas. Alex Brandon, AP Our rating: False A viral meme appearing to quote actor Tim Allen saying, "President Trump’s Wall Costs Less Than The Obamacare Website. Let that sink in, America," is FALSE, based on our research. Allen did not author this quote, according to the actor's publicist. Also, estimates put the cost of Trump's border wall project significantly higher than the cost of HealthCare.gov. Kevin De Bruyne stars as Belgium hit back to see off Wales
Kevin De Bruyne (left) celebrates scoring (PA Wire)Wales suffered an opening defeat in their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign as Kevin De Bruyne’s brilliance proved the difference in a 3-1 win for Belgium in Leuven.Harry Wilson stunned Belgium with a superbly-crafted 10th-minute goal, but the star-studded hosts were soon ahead as De Bruyne fired home from distance and then played a major part as Thorgan Hazard’s header gave them the lead.Romelu Lukaku sealed victory for Group E favourites Belgium with a 73rd-minute penalty after Chris Mepham had needlessly brought down Dries Mertens.Without manager Ryan Giggs, who has denied an allegation of assault, Wales faced what is on paper the most difficult challenge in international football – an away game with Belgium. The Red Devils top the FIFA world rankings and entered World Cup qualifying unbeaten in competitive home matches since losing to Germany in September 2010.Belgium also had the incentive of avenging their Euro 2016 quarter-final loss to Wales, a defeat which cost Roberto Martinez’s predecessor Marc Wilmots his job.Seven players remained from that game in Lille – Thibaut Courtois, Thomas Meunier, Toby Alderweireld, De Bruyne and Lukaku for Belgium and Wales pair Joe Allen and Gareth Bale – as the two countries met for the sixth time in the last decade.Wales were unbeaten in the last four meetings and caretaker boss Robert Page welcomed Allen back into the international fold. The Stoke midfielder ruptured an Achilles tendon 12 months ago and had not played for Wales since November 2019.Liverpool teenager Neco Williams also came into the side following November’s Nations League win over Finland, while Belgium’s major team news centred around Lukaku. The former Manchester United striker had arrived late in camp following a coronavirus outbreak at his club Inter Milan. But Lukaku started and his presence encapsulated the size of the visitors’ task with his 57 international goals from 89 games being one more than the entire Wales squad. Both sides took the knee before kick-off and Wales suffered an early blow as Allen’s international return lasted only seven minutes, an apparent hamstring injury ending his night prematurely. But Wales were quickly ahead as a slick one-touch passing move opened up the Belgium defence. Bale fed the final pass into the stride of Wilson, who claimed his fifth international goal with aplomb.Youri Tielemans’ shot was deflected wide and Lukaku somehow steered De Bruyne’s brilliant cross over the bar from two yards out as Belgium settled to their task.De Bruyne continually drifted into dangerous positions and Wales were punished after 22 minutes when the Manchester City midfielder was allowed space to unleash a 25-yard shot, which flew in off a post.Belgium continued to press and took the lead six minutes later as De Bruyne set up Meunier to cross from the right.Connor Roberts slipped on the difficult surface and Hazard sent a powerful header past Danny Ward in the Wales goal.Hazard sent another shot over and Wales were relieved to hear the half-time whistle still in the contest. There was more intent about Wales after the interval as Bale almost tricked his way through a packed home defence before the Wales captain’s audacious overhead kick fell wide.Daniel James was also off-target twice as Belgium sat back with almost half an eye on Saturday’s trip to the Czech Republic. But the result was put beyond doubt as Lukaku’s spot-kick confirmed Wales’ first defeat in 12 competitive matches and left the Dragons playing catch-up in World Cup qualification.LiverpoolWalesBelgiumSoccerThorgan Hazard 'sGroup EThe Red DevilsFIFAStokeNations LeagueManchester UnitedInter MilanBale FedStarsLilleKevin De BruyneRomelu LukakuChris MephamDries MertensRyan GiggsMarc WilmotsThomas MeunierToby AlderweireldJoe AllenGareth BaleNeco WilliamsYouri TielemansConnor RobertsDanny WardThibaut Courtois
